Course Description
People have always needed to work together since the beginning of time – and thus enters the world of contracts. Even when the details are short and sweet, it’s always best to keep everything in written form to protect everyone involved. In this course, we will explore differences between written and oral contracts, creating valid contracts, breach of contracts, and more.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the difference between an oral contract and a written contract
- Describe the Statute of Frauds
- Identify different types of contracts
- Create and interpret contracts
- Review and define essential elements in a contract
- Recognize a breach of contract
- Define common contract terms
- Use the proper format of a contract
- Recognize specific contracts, such as Purchase & Sale Agreement, Option Agreement, Seller Financing Exhibit, and Lead-Based Paint Exhibit
